Renowned vocalist Bob Catley, frontman of the legendary band Magnum and a regular collaborator with Avantasia, has announced that he will not be able to join Avantasia’s upcoming tour due to a recent leg surgery. The procedure was successful, but his recovery requires rest and medical supervision, preventing him from traveling outside the UK in the coming weeks.
Catley expressed his regret that his recovery coincides with the tour dates but remains hopeful about joining the London show on March 24, as it does not require him to leave the country. He also reassured fans that his collaboration with Avantasia will continue as soon as he is physically able.
His absence will affect Avantasia’s shows outside the UK, including the scheduled performances in Spain: April 11 at Razzmatazz in Barcelona and April 12 at Palacio Vistalegre in Madrid. Despite this setback, Tobias Sammet’s band will carry on with their spectacular performances, featuring other talented guest musicians.
