Thrash metal legends Exodus have hit a bump in the road with their upcoming album. Originally planned for release in the summer of 2024, the band’s guitarist Gary Holt has revealed that fans will have to wait a little longer.
Holt explained in a recent update that the new Exodus album has been pushed back to October 2024 due to scheduling adjustments with their label, Napalm Records. However, he reassured fans that the album is 100% complete, and despite the delay, it will be worth the wait.
In his statement, Holt said: “Yes, it’s taking longer than expected, but trust me, this record will crush! We can’t wait for you to hear it!”
While this news might be disappointing for some, Exodus has plenty of action planned for 2024. The band will be touring heavily, including a major European run alongside Death Angel and Kreator, bringing thrash mayhem to the masses.
This marks the band’s first album since 2021’s “Persona Non Grata”, which was widely praised by both fans and critics. If Holt’s excitement is any indication, Exodus is about to drop another thrash masterpiece that will shake the metal world once again.
So, thrashers, mark your calendars for October 2024—Exodus is coming, and they’re bringing the storm!
