Renowned Spanish artist Enrique Bunbury has just released “Para llegar hasta aquí,” the first single from his eagerly awaited new album, set to debut in the spring of 2025. This track offers fans a taste of what’s to come, blending Bunbury’s signature poetic lyrics with a rich tapestry of Latin American sounds. The accompanying music video showcases a cinematic aesthetic, reminiscent of a lively tavern scene, evoking the ambiance of his earlier works like “Licenciado Cantinas” and “El Viaje a Ninguna Parte.”
In a thrilling development, Bunbury is reuniting with his former band, El Huracán Ambulante, to commemorate the 20th anniversary of their disbandment. This reunion will see the band accompany him on the “Huracán Ambulante Tour 2025,” covering nine countries. The tour kicks off on June 7, 2025, in Querétaro, Mexico, and includes stops in cities like Monterrey, San Salvador, Guatemala City, Tegucigalpa, Mexico City, Bogotá, Quito, Medellín, Chicago, Anaheim, Madrid, Barcelona, and Zaragoza.
Reflecting on this new phase, Bunbury describes the upcoming album as “a notable shift, recorded in Mexico with various Latin American musicians.” He believes this collection stands among his finest compositions, signaling an intriguing evolution in his musical journey.
The reunion of El Huracán Ambulante brings back talented musicians such as Rafa Domínguez on guitar, Del Morán on bass, Copi Corellano on keyboards, Ramón Gacías on drums, Ana Belén Estaje on violin, Luis Miguel Romero on percussion, Javier Íñigo on trumpet, and Javier García-Vega on trombone and Spanish guitar.
As fans eagerly anticipate the full album release, “Para llegar hasta aquí” serves as a compelling introduction to Bunbury’s latest artistic chapter.
