Industrial rock band Rorschach Test has featured Shadow, the black cat from a viral Facebook video, in their latest music video for “Embrace the Shadow.” The video, shared by bassist The Narcoleptic Goddess, showcases Shadow playfully rolling in catnip, a clip that has garnered nearly five million views.
In the “Embrace the Shadow” video, fans are invited to spot Shadow’s cameo and submit the timestamps on the band’s website. Participants stand a chance to win prizes, including a hoodie, a signed limited edition ‘Unclean’ vinyl LP, and VIP meet-and-greet passes for upcoming shows.
The band has also introduced an “Embrace the Shadow” hoodie, with proceeds benefiting the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Los Angeles (SPCALA). This initiative aims to support animals affected by the recent California wildfires. Rorschach Test expressed their commitment, stating, “Their lives, often overlooked in the headlines, deserve our compassion and protection.”
Following the release of their comeback album ‘Fallen’ last year, Rorschach Test is set to embark on their first tour in two decades. The tour kicks off on January 17 in Eugene, Oregon, with subsequent dates in Seattle, Portland, Tacoma, Las Vegas, and Phoenix.
