Legendary Canadian power trio Triumph is officially making their long-awaited return to the stage after nearly two decades of silence. The iconic rock band—Rik Emmett, Mike Levine, and Gil Moore—is set to perform live on Friday, June 6, 2025, at Rogers Festival at the Final in Edmonton. This will mark their first public concert appearance in 17 years.
The performance is part of the festivities surrounding the Stanley Cup Final and will take place at the Play Alberta Fan Park just outside Rogers Place. Triumph will perform a brief but hard-hitting three-song set, offering a taste of their signature anthemic style that helped define rock through the late ’70s and early ’80s.
While Triumph hasn’t played a full public show since 2008—when they reunited for festival appearances in Sweden and the U.S.—they did stage a private three-song set in 2019 at Metalworks Studios in Toronto. That session, however, was never opened to the public, making this upcoming show in Edmonton their first truly public concert in 17 years.
Fans can expect all the fireworks that Triumph is known for: soaring vocals, virtuosic guitar solos, thundering bass, and precision drumming. The band is expected to perform fan favorites, including at least one classic that has found renewed life as part of Canada’s hockey culture during this year’s playoffs.
This celebration of Canadian rock also includes a headlining set by The Glorious Sons, amplifying the nostalgia and energy surrounding the event. The concert is free to attend and open to fans of all ages, making it an unmissable moment for rock lovers and hockey fans alike.
Triumph’s comeback isn’t just a walk down memory lane—it’s a reaffirmation of their place in the pantheon of rock legends. Their upcoming performance is more than just a show; it’s a statement that classic rock never dies—it just waits for the perfect moment to strike again.
