In an unprecedented achievement, The Beatles have once again etched their name in music history. At the 2025 Grammy Awards, their song “Now and Then” clinched the Best Rock Performance award, marking the first time an AI-assisted track has received such an honor.
“Now and Then,” released in November 2023, originated from a 1970s demo by John Lennon. Utilizing advanced technology, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr isolated Lennon’s vocals from the original recording, allowing them to craft a complete track that harmoniously blends the past with the present.
Accepting the award on behalf of the band, Sean Ono Lennon, son of John Lennon, expressed his gratitude and emphasized the enduring impact of The Beatles’ music. He stated, “The Beatles have done so much incredible work and they’re still in the culture and people still listen to the music. As far as I’m concerned, it’s the greatest band of all time.”
This historic win underscores The Beatles’ lasting influence and their ability to innovate, even decades after their formation. Their music continues to inspire and captivate audiences across generations, proving that true artistry knows no bounds.
