The legendary rock band Scorpions have announced the postponement of their “Coming Home to Las Vegas 60th Anniversary” residency, originally scheduled to begin on February 27, 2025, at PH Live in Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. The decision comes as drummer Mikkey Dee continues his recovery from a severe sepsis infection.
In a statement shared on social media, the band expressed, “We regret to inform you that due to Mikkey Dee’s ongoing recovery from his recent hospitalization, we have made the decision to postpone our Coming Home to Las Vegas Residency to August 2025. The health and wellbeing of our brother is of the utmost importance.”
The rescheduled residency will now take place from August 14 to 23, 2025, marking Scorpions’ third Las Vegas residency since 2022. They will be joined by special guest Buckcherry.
Mikkey Dee, known for his tenure with Motörhead before joining Scorpions in 2016, recently shared details of his health scare. He was hospitalized for three weeks due to a serious blood infection and has been recovering at home. Dee expressed gratitude for the care he received, stating, “Thankfully, I have received fantastic care at the Sahlgrenska University Hospital in Gothenburg, my hometown.”
He also reflected on the severity of his condition, mentioning, “Another day and I’d be playing drums with Lemmy in heaven.”
Fans who have already purchased tickets for the original dates are advised to hold onto them, as they will be honored for the rescheduled shows. For those unable to attend the new dates, refund options will be communicated by the ticket providers.
The Scorpions, celebrating their 60th anniversary, continue to prioritize the health and safety of their band members and fans. They look forward to delivering an unforgettable performance in August 2025.
