Exciting news for rock enthusiasts: Stephen Pearcy and Warren DeMartini, the dynamic duo behind Ratt’s iconic sound, are joining forces once again. They’ve announced a stellar lineup for their upcoming performance at the M3 Rock Festival on May 4, 2025. This marks their first shared stage appearance since 2018.
Meet the Band
Accompanying Pearcy and DeMartini are some familiar faces:
- Carlos Cavazo: Formerly of Quiet Riot and a contributor to Ratt’s 2010 album, Infestation, Cavazo brings his seasoned guitar skills back into the mix.
- Matt Thorr: Known for his time with Rough Cutt and previous tours with Pearcy’s solo projects, Thorr will handle bass duties.
- Blas Elias: The ex-Slaughter drummer, also a member of Pearcy’s solo ensemble, will be on drums.
Why Not Call It ‘Ratt’?
While fans might wonder why this isn’t billed as a full Ratt reunion, Pearcy clarifies: “It’s not about Ratt. It’s about the legacy of our music, and who better to deliver it? Because we don’t have all the proper original elements, which would include Robbin [Crosby, late guitarist]. So we just decided, no, this is great, this is perfect. We don’t want to hit a brick wall. We want this nice and smooth.”
Looking Ahead
The M3 performance might be just the beginning. Pearcy and DeMartini have received additional offers and are considering future shows. They’re also enthusiastic about creating new music together. Pearcy shares, “Obviously new music is what I’m thinking, always. If Warren’s writing, I’m in there. But M3 is definitely the perfect place to kick it off.”
This reunion promises to be a memorable event, celebrating the enduring legacy of Ratt’s music and offering fans a chance to relive the magic.
