Nonpoint’s performance at Louisville, Kentucky’s Mercury Ballroom on January 12 took an unexpected turn when drummer Robb Rivera experienced a medical emergency, leading to the show’s abrupt end.
During the song “(rěn-dǐsh’ən),” Rivera’s heart rate escalated to a dangerously high level. He stood up from his drum kit and eventually exited the stage. Despite a brief attempt to continue the performance, the band had to conclude the set early. Paramedics on-site were unable to stabilize Rivera’s condition, necessitating his transport to a local hospital.
Nonpoint addressed the incident on social media, expressing gratitude to the Louisville audience for their understanding. They reported that Rivera’s heart rate had stabilized and that he was undergoing further tests. Frontman Elias Soriano noted that Rivera had never experienced such an issue before and that, while Rivera was eager to finish the show, medical personnel advised against it.
As of now, Nonpoint’s next concert is scheduled for January 14 in Greensboro, North Carolina. Fans are advised to stay tuned for updates regarding Rivera’s health and any potential changes to upcoming tour dates.
We wish Robb Rivera a swift recovery and hope to see Nonpoint back on stage soon.
