It’s been a rocky road lately for alternative metal outfit A Killer’s Confession. The band has just taken a serious hit in the middle of their current tour as longtime drummer Morgan Bauer unexpectedly exited the lineup.
The bombshell was dropped on social media via a candid post from frontman Waylon Reavis, who you may remember from his days with Mushroomhead. His message didn’t shy away from the tension behind the scenes. Reavis addressed fans directly, explaining that Bauer left the tour without warning and without completing his duties—leaving the band in a precarious spot during an already demanding schedule.
“This is not a decision that was made lightly,” Reavis stated. “We were blindsided. Morgan made a choice that affects all of us, and most importantly, it impacts our fans who support this tour and this band. That’s not how we do things.”
Despite the shakeup, the show must go on. Enter Daniel Fox, stepping in as the band’s new live drummer effective immediately. Fox, who has shared the stage with artists like Dope, has quickly taken the reins behind the kit, bringing both professionalism and power to help A Killer’s Confession push through the rest of the tour.
Fox’s own statement exuded positivity and respect:
“I’m honored to help keep the momentum going for A Killer’s Confession. This music deserves to be heard, and the fans deserve a full experience every night. I’m ready.”
While Reavis didn’t delve into all the specifics behind Bauer’s departure, his tone was firm and clear: this wasn’t just a matter of artistic differences. According to the frontman, the decision was a breach of commitment—not only to the band, but to the fans who support them through thick and thin.
“When you’re on a team, you finish what you start. Period.”
The band has since confirmed that all remaining dates on their tour will continue as scheduled, with Fox behind the drums.
This isn’t the first time A Killer’s Confession has weathered storms, and it likely won’t be the last. But if there’s one thing that sets this band apart, it’s their unrelenting drive to show up, deliver, and give fans the show they came for—no matter what happens behind the curtain.
