Originally, the plan was to employ a stunt actress for these challenging shots. However, Scabbia believed that her direct involvement would offer fans a more genuine and immersive experience.
She explained, “I thought that it would have been much better for whoever was watching, especially our fans, to see that it was me going through the whole process because it would have been easier to get in my shoes and try to understand the sense of suffocation, being trapped in a toxic relationship that could be a love relationship, a work relationship, even a friendship went wrong.”
This dedication to authenticity is a testament to Scabbia’s commitment to her art and her audience. By undertaking these demanding stunts herself, she aimed to convey the song’s themes more powerfully, allowing viewers to connect deeply with the emotions portrayed.
