As Dave Mustaine moves forward with a new Megadeth album, featuring Teemu Mäntysaari on guitar, two former Megadeth members have announced a joint tour that is sure to excite fans of the thrash metal band. Kiko Loureiro, who played guitar for Megadeth from 2015 until his departure last year, and Marty Friedman, a member of the band during the ‘Rust in Peace’ to ‘Risk’ era, have confirmed a seven-concert tour in Brazil, set to take place in May and June 2025.
This news comes on the heels of the recent announcement of Joe Satriani and Steve Vai’s collaboration on the SatchVai project. Loureiro and Friedman, who shared the stage with Megadeth in Japan earlier this year, will now unite for a thrilling tour that promises to be an unforgettable experience.
Loureiro took to social media to share the exciting news with his followers: “Big news, Brazil! I’m hitting the road with my incredible friend and guitar legend Marty Friedman as a special guest! The ‘Theory of Mind’ tour is going to be something never seen before. It’s going to be unforgettable!”
The confirmed dates for the ‘Theory of Mind’ tour are:
- May 30 – Recife, Clube Internacional
- May 31 – Fortaleza, Armazém
- June 1 – Belém, Music Park
- June 4 – Belo Horizonte, Mister Rock
- June 6 – Rio de Janeiro, Sacadura 154
- June 7 – São Paulo, Tokio Marine Hall
