Hayley Williams, the dynamic lead vocalist of Paramore, has delighted fans by hinting at a solo tour in 2025. This announcement comes nearly five years after her initial plans to tour for her debut solo album, Petals for Armor, were thwarted by the global pandemic.
On her 36th birthday, December 27, 2024, Williams shared a heartfelt message on her Instagram Stories. She reflected on the past year, expressing gratitude for the birthday wishes and excitement for the future. In a cleverly crossed-out section, she revealed her intentions: “I’m going to try and finally play some shows next year that would’ve happened nearly 5 years ago now. That is, if the world doesn’t [expletive] stop before then. Here’s hoping.”
The original Petals for Armor tour was slated for mid-2020, with dates across Europe and the U.S. Unfortunately, like many events during that time, it was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In a message to fans back then, Williams expressed her disappointment and offered refunds, stating, “This year has been hard on everybody for lots of different reasons. I’m sorry to add to that list… sorry for myself and for y’all.”
In addition to Petals for Armor, Williams released a second solo album, Flowers for Vases / Descansos, in 2021. However, she has yet to perform her solo material live, making the prospect of a 2025 tour even more thrilling for fans.
While no official dates or locations have been announced, the anticipation is palpable. Fans worldwide are eager for the chance to experience Williams’ solo work in a live setting, a testament to her enduring impact on the music scene.
Stay tuned for more updates on Hayley Williams’ solo endeavors and potential tour announcements. In the meantime, let’s keep our fingers crossed and hope the world cooperates this time around.
