
Exciting news for goregrind enthusiasts! Madrid-based band Haemorrhage has announced two upcoming projects that are sure to delight fans old and new. First up is a five-track EP titled Opera Medica, recorded between May and June 2024. This release promises to deliver the raw energy and medical-themed brutality that Haemorrhage is renowned for.
In addition, the band is celebrating the 30th anniversary of their seminal debut album, Emetic Cult, originally released in 1995. This special edition will not only feature the original tracks but also include re-recordings of eight songs from the album, offering a fresh take on their classic sound. It’s worth noting that Emetic Cult received a 25th-anniversary edition in 2020, available in cassette format through Larvae Records and vinyl via DiscosMeCagoEnDios.
Formed in Coslada, Madrid, in 1991, Haemorrhage has been a pioneering force in Spain’s grindcore scene. Over the years, they’ve collaborated with bands like Christ Denied, Exhumed, Disgorge, and Dead Infection, solidifying their status in the genre. Their discography boasts seven studio albums, including Grume, Anatomical Inferno, Morgue Sweet Home, Apology For Pathology, Hospital Carnage, and their latest, We Are the Gore, released in October 2017.
The band’s classic lineup features Luisma and Ana Belén on guitars, Lugubrious on vocals, and Ramón Checa on bass. Since 2023, they’ve been joined by drummer Daviti, continuing their legacy of delivering intense and visceral performances.
