“Somewhere Far Beyond – Revisited” saldrá a la venta en agosto
La legendaria banda de Heavy Metal BLIND GUARDIAN ha lanzado una nueva versión de “Ashes To Ashes”, parte de la regrabación del álbum “Somewhere Far Beyond”, titulado “Somewhere Far Beyond – Revisited”.

La banda alemana comentó sobre esta nueva versión:
“¡Estamos encantados de presentar ‘Ashes to Ashes (Revisited)’, otro potente single de nuestro álbum regrabado, ‘Somewhere Far Beyond – Revisited’! ‘Ashes to Ashes’ es uno de nuestros temas más pesados, reimaginado con agresivos riffs Thrash y majestuosas melodías”.
Además, han compartido una versión en directo del tema, grabada en el Hellfest 2022:

Fecha de lanzamiento
“Somewhere Far Beyond – Revisited” se publicará el 2 de agosto de 2024. Este álbum, regrabado entre 2022 y 2023, incluirá un disco adicional en directo con grabaciones de los festivales Rock Hard Festival 2022 en Alemania y Hellfest 2022 en Francia. En estas presentaciones, BLIND GUARDIAN interpretó todas las canciones del álbum original de 1992, celebrando su 30º aniversario.
La portada original de Andreas Marschall se mantiene en esta nueva edición.
Razones para la regrabación
La idea de regrabar el disco surgió durante los ensayos para la gira del aniversario del álbum. Según el vocalista Hansi Kürsch, originalmente no estaba previsto regrabar el álbum completo:
“Mientras ensayábamos para los conciertos del aniversario, llegó la pandemia de COVID-19 y no podíamos estar seguros de que esos shows se llevasen a cabo. Queríamos celebrar el aniversario del disco y, si no podíamos incluir una versión en directo, inicialmente pensamos que al menos podríamos grabar los ensayos”.
No obstante, la banda no quedó satisfecha con el resultado y decidió regrabar el álbum por completo:
“Intentamos recuperar lo que hicimos en 1992, pero ahora compensando la energía juvenil con experiencia y habilidad. No discutimos ningún cambio importante, pero con más de 30 años de experiencia y nuestra alineación actual, esos ingredientes le agregan un nuevo sabor. Con las pistas básicas grabadas en directo, ‘Somewhere Far Beyond – Revisited’ es más sencillo y se centra más en el impacto de los arreglos de guitarra, pero conserva todas las armonías y melodías esenciales del original”.
El guitarrista André Olbrich añadió:
“Finalmente obtuvimos esta genial versión híbrida. Combinamos la forma en que tocamos las canciones hoy, pero al mismo tiempo, ¡tratamos de conservar ese espíritu de Speed Metal de principios de los 90!”.
