The highly anticipated Black Templar Extreme Metal Fest 2025, dedicated to the dark realms of Black Metal, has announced an exciting lineup featuring CARPATHIAN FOREST, THY LIGHT, DARK WISDOM, and LETHARGIC. The event is set to take place on September 13, 2025, in Monzón, Huesca, with one headliner yet to be revealed.
Confirmed Bands for the 2025 Edition
- CARPATHIAN FOREST: Formed in 1992 in Sandnes, Norway, this legendary band has released five studio albums, two live records, and two EPs. Their latest release, Likeim, came out in 2018.
- THY LIGHT: A leading name in Depressive Black Metal from São Paulo, Brazil, THY LIGHT has been active since 2005. They have one album and the 2021 EP Thy Light to their name.
- DARK WISDOM: Hailing from Bogotá, Colombia, this band has built a solid reputation with five studio albums. Their latest work, The Endless Darkness of Cosmos, was released in 2023.
- LETHARGIC: This Salamanca-based Death Doom Metal band brings a darker tone to the fest. Their most recent release is the full-length Woodoo Tumba from 2022.
Additional acts include:
- SVARTTJERN: Formed in Oslo in 2003, this Norwegian band has six albums under its belt, with the latest, Draw Blood, released on December 6, 2024, via Soulseller Records.
- MEPHORASH: From Uppsala, Sweden, MEPHORASH has been active since 2010, with five albums to date. Their latest record, Krystl-Ah, dropped in 2023.
- NEBIROS: A pioneering Colombian Black Metal band from Medellín, NEBIROS has a discography spanning three full-length albums and four EPs, including their 2022 release El Símbolo Maldito.
- OUIJA: Monzón’s own Black Metal icons, formed in 1995, are set to perform. Known for their latest album, Fathomless Hysteros (2022), and several notable EPs, OUIJA has been a driving force in the Spanish extreme metal scene.
