Danish rock and metal powerhouse Volbeat has officially announced their ninth studio album, God of Angels Trust, set for release on June 6, 2025, via Vertigo/Universal. This marks the band’s return following their 2021 album, Servant of the Mind.
As a first taste of the album, Volbeat has dropped the single “By a Monster’s Hand”, accompanied by a high-energy music video that stays true to their signature sound.
Frontman Michael Poulsen shared that the creative process for this album was more spontaneous compared to previous releases:
“This time, I wanted to make a Volbeat record without overthinking it. Instead of following a structure, I just said, ‘Okay, no rules. I can do whatever I want.’”
The album God of Angels Trust will feature nine additional tracks, including the intriguingly titled “In the Barn of the Goat Giving Birth to Satan’s Spawn in a Dying World of Doom.”
To support the album, Volbeat is embarking on a massive world tour kicking off on June 7 in Vancouver, Canada. The first leg will feature special guests Three Days Grace and Wage War. In July, the band will tour across the U.S. alongside Halestorm and The Ghost Inside, before heading to Europe and the UK in September with Bush and Gel.
Tickets go on sale to the general public on March 14 at 10 a.m. local time. Fans who pre-order the album via Volbeat’s official store or Universal Music Group before March 9 at 5 p.m. local time will receive a code for early ticket access starting March 10 at 10 a.m. local time.
