After a four-year hiatus, Evanescence has unveiled their latest single, “Afterlife,” which will feature in Netflix’s upcoming animated series, Devil May Cry. The series, inspired by Capcom’s renowned video game, follows demon hunter Dante on his quest for vengeance. “Afterlife” is set to release on streaming platforms this Friday, March 28, 2025.
In a recent interview on Loudwire Nights, lead vocalist Amy Lee expressed her enthusiasm for the new track and shared insights into the band’s creative journey. “We’ve been on the road consistently since The Bitter Truth came out in 2021,” Lee noted. “Finally, I was just like, ‘Okay, look, we have to create some new stuff.'” She revealed that Evanescence is “happily, deeply in the creative process on the new album,” though specific release dates remain under wraps.
