DEATH TO ALL Announces “The Symbolic Healing” Tour to Celebrate the Anniversaries of Spiritual Healing and Symbolic Across North America This November
North America — July 2025
Death To All, the touring tribute to the legacy of the late Chuck Schuldiner and his pioneering band DEATH, returns to North American stages this November for a month-long celebration dedicated to two of the band’s most iconic albums: Spiritual Healing (1990) and Symbolic (1995). The tour, titled “The Symbolic Healing Tour,” will pay tribute to 35 years of Spiritual Healing and 30 years of Symbolic.
Widely regarded as cornerstones of death metal, these albums have been praised by critics for decades. Spiritual Healing was instrumental in putting Florida on the map as the epicenter of the genre, while Symbolic is remembered as the band’s most melodic and refined work, according to Pitchfork.
“The time has come to commemorate a couple of milestones in the DEATH catalog,” says Gene Hoglan, the legendary drummer who performed on classic albums like Individual Thought Patterns (1993) and Symbolic. “30 years of Symbolic and 35 of Spiritual Healing! Two very different yet equally important eras of DEATH. Representing both albums is going to be an absolute blast.”
Death To All’s lineup for this tour features veteran DEATH members: Gene Hoglan on drums, Steve DiGiorgio on bass (Human and Individual Thought Patterns), Bobby Koelble on guitar (Symbolic), and Max Phelps (Exist, ex-Cynic) on guitar and vocals. In 2024, the band celebrated Scream Bloody Gore (1987) and The Sound of Perseverance (1998) with a North American tour.

Each night will also include classics from DEATH’s entire discography. Asked whether the albums will be performed in full, Hoglan teases:
“Will we play Spiritual Healing and Symbolic in their entirety like last year’s Scream of Perseverance sold-out tour? Everyone will just have to come out and see for themselves. Will it be an unforgettable night of extreme metal, honoring Chuck Schuldiner the way only Death To All can? Absolutely. Death To All stands alone.”
The tour will feature special guests: Canada’s Gorguts and North Dakota’s Phobophilic.
“It’s a great honor to share the stage with these monuments of death metal,” says Gorguts vocalist/guitarist Luc Lemay. “DEATH had a huge influence on me as an artist. It’s the band that made me want to become a death metal musician. Chuck was my idol, my inspiration. Get ready for a night of classic death metal.”
Phobophilic will open each show with their cerebral and crushing style of death metal.
“This will be an unforgettable tour,” promises Hoglan. “We can’t wait to share these November nights with all of you.”
