Dear rock enthusiasts,
We have thrilling news to share! The legendary Black Sabbath is set to reunite for a monumental concert titled “Back to the Beginning” on July 5, 2025, at Villa Park in Aston, Birmingham—the very place where their journey began. This event will feature the original lineup: Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward, marking their first performance together in two decades.
Esteemed guitarist K.K. Downing, formerly of Judas Priest, expressed his deep honor in participating in this historic event. Reflecting on his roots near Birmingham, Downing shared, “I vividly remember growing up in the suburbs of Birmingham, England, over 50 years ago and witnessing the emergence of this band that would pioneer a genre of music that had never been heard before.” He emphasized the band’s unparalleled influence, stating, “Black Sabbath has carried the flag and the mantle of our beloved music for a lifetime, for this I know we will always be sincerely grateful.”
The concert boasts a stellar lineup, including full performances by Metallica, Slayer, Pantera, Gojira, Halestorm, Alice in Chains, Lamb of God, Anthrax, and Mastodon. Additionally, renowned artists such as Billy Corgan, David Draiman, Duff McKagan, Fred Durst, Lzzy Hale, Jake E. Lee, Jonathan Davis, K.K. Downing, Mike Bordin, Papa V Perpetua, Rudy Sarzo, Sammy Hagar, Slash, Sleep Token’s II, Tom Morello, and Wolfgang Van Halen will make special appearances.
Beyond celebrating a legendary band’s legacy, this concert serves a noble cause. All proceeds will benefit Cure Parkinson’s, Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and Acorn Children’s Hospice, reflecting Black Sabbath’s enduring connection to their community.
Tickets will be available starting at 10 AM GMT on Friday, February 14, via Live Nation’s U.K. website. Don’t miss this chance to witness rock history in the making!
